This is the first of a regular monthly feature by Cate Erlank titled, Home Care for Headaches.

Take a measure of how “bad your headache is between 1 and 7. If
headache is bad, it’ll be a 7. If it’s more than 7, you probably
have a migraine and should watch this space for migraine tips. Drink
500ml of water. Wait 30 minutes. Play with your hair and massage
your scalp and face while the 30 minutes is passing. Take another measure
of your headache. Has it lessened? Drink another 500ml water. Headache
should be gone within another 20minutes. (Consider that a Panado takes
about 40min to kick in anyway, and leaves toxic residue in your liver.)
